March 3, 2021 is World Wildlife Day and the theme this year is “Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet”, as a way to highlight the central role of forests, forest species and ecosystems services in sustaining the livelihoods of hundreds of millions of people globally, and particularly of Indigenous and local communities with historic ties to forested and forest-adjacent areas.

The call to action is to #DoOneThing today to support forest communities and conserve forest wildlife.

With our #HeritageHealth program, we encourage our communities to support each other but to also practice self-care. Nature has always been a source of life and of emotional grounding and regeneration.

On #WorldWildlifeDay we take the time to appreciate and explore the gifts our forests and forest species have to give and the need to preserve and protect them for generations to come.

#ApartTogether we acknowledge that our forests are a part of our heritage and our future.
