Location: Hybrid (Work From Home & Heritage Mississauga office: 1921 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, ON)
Duration: 8 weeks (35 hours/week)
Rate of Pay: $17.20/hour

This position is supported through the Canada Summer Jobs program, which subsidizes part of your wage. To be eligible, you must:
Be aged 18–30 at the start of employment.
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee with legal work status in Canada.
Hold a valid Social Insurance Number.
Heritage Mississauga is looking for a passionate and creative Videographer / Video Editor (age 18–30) for an 8‑week summer position. This role will focus on recording, editing, and producing a series of video oral history interviews with members of Mississauga’s Indigenous community.
These short films will capture and preserve the stories, heritage, and memories of our local Indigenous residents, allowing us to share them with the wider community in a meaningful and impactful way.
Assist in planning and conducting video interviews (both in-person and online).
Operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment (using SONY cameras).
Edit and produce short video stories for Heritage Mississauga’s YouTube channel and archives.
Scan and integrate supporting images and digital media.
Participate in meetings and collaborate closely with the Cultural Heritage Creative Strategist.
Currently studying or recently graduated from a university or college program in Media Studies, Video Production, or a related field.
Strong writing, communication, and visual storytelling skills.
Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with camera equipment.
Willingness to work some evenings or weekends when required.
An interest in learning about Mississauga’s Indigenous heritage and a desire to contribute creatively to a meaningful project.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be between 18–30 years old.
