This week Matthew welcomes guest Scott Gillies as they discuss the history, and poetry, of cheese and the fascinating story of the Ingersoll Cheese & Agricultural Museum.

Scott Gillies is the Museum Curator at Ingersoll Cheese & Agricultural Museum – winner of the Ontario’s Choice Award for top small museum!

Scott is an experienced Museum Curator with over 40 years of work in the museum industry. Skilled in Archival Research, Historical Research, Exhibit Design, Programming and Public Speaking, he is also a strong arts and design professional with a HBA focused in History & English from The University of Western Ontario – Huron University College.

Recent efforts in Ingersoll have resulted in the museum doubling its annual attendance and being voted Top Small Museum in Ontario, winning the Ingersoll Chamber of Commerce Award for Business Excellence, and being a co-winner of the Dorothy Duncan Award for Public History presented by the Ontario Historical Society for the “Oxford Remembers Oxford’s Own Project”.

We congratulate the museum on their achievements and are pleased to celebrate #MuseumWeek with our former Haunted Mississauga volunteer, Scott Gillies.
