Indigenous Oral Histories shares the voices and lived experiences of Indigenous people connected to this land and to the city of Mississauga today.
These stories are shared in the words of the storytellers themselves, reflecting relationships to place, culture, memory, and community. Some speak to deep ancestral and treaty connections to this territory, while others share experiences of living in Mississauga after relocating from other parts of Canada or the United States.
Each oral history is shaped in collaboration with the storyteller and shared with their full consent, contributing to a growing archive that honours Indigenous presence, knowledge, and continuity—past, present, and future.
