Be A Part Of Mississauga’s Heritage – Volunteer!
Heritage Mississauga is dedicated to providing opportunities to contribute to the community through volunteering. We value the time and skills each of our volunteers bring to our programs and events and strive to ensure that the experience is a positive one for everyone.
We have many volunteer opportunities for all ages and interests; from practical experience dealing with the public at our many events and festivals; theatrical opportunities for the thespians among you with our famous “Haunted Mississauga” evening in October, as well as special projects that occur throughout the year relating to office administration, research and writing, marketing and sales. While an interest in Mississauga’s heritage would certainly be an asset, we are a working office and as such are able to match your interests with our experienced staff and varied opportunities.
Become A Cultural Heritage Champion!
We are an inclusive organization who is interested in working with diverse cultures to celebrate and record everyone’s heritage in Canada and as such welcome new Canadians who are interested in acquiring work experience as well as those members of the community who are more established.
We are always looking for people to introduce and connect us to your community or cultural group’s elders, community leaders, and ambassadors. Partner with Heritage Mississauga to record oral histories from your community and preserve Mississauga’s cultural story in a fun and creative way.
