Being one of the largest Hispanic communities and one of the oldest in Canada, the AEO was created to implement socio-cultural projects, to offer social and technical commercial assistance, to increase economic development. We aim to place the Ecuadorian culture in the multicultural environment of the province of Ontario, so there is better integration into Canadian society.
The Association’s mission is to disseminate, cultivate and maintain Ecuadorian culture and to promote commercial, educational, sports and tourism in our country.

The House of Ecuadorian Trade Canada (CCEC) is a nonprofit organization that was established in February 2001 as a result of the interest of a large group of businessmen, both Canadians and Ecuadorians, to strengthen the bonds of friendship and trade relations between Ecuador and Canada. The Chamber, together with the valuable and continued support of the Canadian Embassy in Ecuador, has always responded to these demands. The need to promote and extend opportunities to increase trade between these countries, as well as educational and cultural groups is essential.

CROATIAN PARISH FOLKLORE GROUP “SLJEME”
In 1979 in the heart of Southern Ontario, the largest colony of Croatians in the world, a realization of a dream, the formation of a folklore group, is brought to life in conjunction with the formation of the newly established Parish of Croatian Martyrs in Mississauga. The object of its establishment is to carry on and promote the Croatian culture within the youth of Croatian origin. To symbolize its strength and presence in the Croatian community of Mississauga, it is named after the symbolic mountain overlooking the capital of Croatia, Zagreb – SLJEME. As the mountain has been a witness of the times gone by, it is hoped that Sljeme will have the same impact on the Canadian Croatian youth of Mississauga.

GREEK CANADIAN HISTORY PROJECT
The Greek Canadian History Project (GCHP) is an initiative designed to identify, preserve, and provide access to primary source materials that reflect the experience of Canada’s Greek immigrants. The collected sources, currently in the hands of private individuals and organizations, are placed in the care of the Clara Thomas Archives & Special Collections of York University Libraries. The GCHP also engages in public history events that bridge the worlds of academia and the mainstream.

The Iraqi Canadian Society is a social, cultural society that deals with Iraqi community members residing in Canada in order to stregthen bonds and relations between our Iraqi community members. It was founded on September 8th, 1991. It provides services regarding residence and work and facilitates ways for people to develop new knowledge and technical skills. This society is determined to keep communication open about the history and traditions of the Iraqi culture.

MANOS UNIDES (UNITED HANDS FUNDRAISING)
Manos Unides (United Hands Fundraising) is a Canadian non-profit organization whose mission is to train parents and mothers to prevent health problems, encourage normal development of children and to raise funds to support children with serious health problems and where they do not have the financial resources that can provide timely solutions.
The organization plans special events (concerts, festivals, proms, kermesses, publications, telethons, etc.) to help save lives of children due to lack of care and professional treatment in their home countries.

The Mississauga Chinese Arts Organization (MCAO) is a non-profit performing arts organization based in the city of Mississauga and dedicated to the presentation and production of a full spectrum of Chinese performing arts events for the City of Mississauga and the surrounding areas. It is also committed to providing opportunities for community members to practice and develop their artistic skills through various training and performing programs.

Since it was first founded in 2005, the MCAO has collaborated with many profit/non-profit organizations/ associations and successfully presented more than 100 live performances and variety shows at major society, corporate and community venues all over the city of Mississauga and the surrounding areas, and gained a superb reputation for their amazing Chinese traditional dances, folk music and unequalled entertainment.

MISSISSAUGA ITALIAN CANADIAN BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION (MICBA)
Founded in 1986, the Mississauga Italian Canadian Benevolent Association (MICBA) has enjoyed being a leader among housing, social services and Long Term Care. Its mandate is to provide a better quality of life to citizens of this country regardless of their nationality. This is accomplished by retaining our Italian cultural background through the development and implementation of support services and programs designed to assist individuals and their families in their everyday lives.
MICBA has developed several non-profit services which include housing that cares for 133 families, a 60-unit senior’s residence, and a licensed daycare for 85 full-time children, a 160 bed Long Term Care Home and social services office INAS for Pensions.

PORTUGUESE CULTURAL CENTRE OF MISSISSAUGA YOUTH (THE YOUTH GROUP OF THE PCCM)
The Youth Group of the PCCM is an active group welcoming youth from all over the GTA, to continue and promote activities within the Portuguese community.
The Youth Group volunteers occasionally on weekend events to help serve dinner and manage the logistics behind an event with dinner for 600 people. The cultural centre is a volunteer organization, and our youth group will be the next generation to keep the flame lit.
Our Youth group is a large part of the Folklore Dance Group that also participates at our centre. The Youth Group plays a large part in the involvement of dancing, or being a part of the live musical band that we have at each performance.
Our Youth Group organizes outings to Canada’s Wonderland and places to enjoy family time, and in end to bring the community closer together. We are happy to include all friends of our community to get involved and be interested in a culture that sailed on a boat to explore 2/3 of the world. We are proud to be portuguese!!!
