The ALBION-BOLTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY was established in 1974 and is an affiliate of the Ontario Historical Society. BELFOUNTATIN HERITAGE SOCIETY
The BELFOUNTAIN HERITAGE SOCIETY was formed in 1992 to protect and preserve the heritage of the hamlet of Belfountain and surrounding area. It became affiliated with the Ontario Historical Society in 1994, and is incorporated. The Society is made up of residents of Belfountain and nearby villages.

BRAMPTON HERITAGE BOARD

ESQUESING HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Esquesing Historical Society maintains an ever increasing collection of archival material and photographs, housed in the Georgetown Branch of Halton Hills Public Libraries. These are all indexed, filed, and preserved in archival acid free containers in an extremely professional manner. HERITAGE OAKVILLE
Oakville has a rich history that is still visible today in its many historic buildings and landscapes. Many of these properties are designated or listed on the Town of Oakville Heritage Register, which contains approximately 900 properties.
The role of Heritage planning staff is to assist in the documentation and protection of these historical sites and help guide change to these properties through the heritage permit process. The Heritage Oakville Committee, an advisory committee to Council, also contributes to heritage conservation in Oakville by reviewing heritage permit and development applications related to heritage properties.

KING TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Over the decades KTHS members have been actively engaged in preservation and restoration of built heritage such as the King Railway station, the King Christian Church, the Lloydtown Pioneer Cemetery, the Lloydtown cairn and the signage for the Carrying Place Trail. The King Township Museum was also a cherished project long before it came under the care of the municipality; the Society now cooperates in continuing the the township Museum’s role as a centre for the King’s heritage and cultural activities.

MISSISSAUGA HERITAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The City’s heritage team identifies and protects Mississauga’s cultural heritage property. Staff formally recognizes and monitors properties deemed to have cultural heritage value, as per the Ontario Heritage Act, to ensure that changes are sympathetic to the site’s heritage attributes. Such property includes built heritage, cultural landscapes and heritage conservation districts.

MISSISSAUGA SOUTH HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Established in 1963, the Mississauga South Historical Society holds five meetings a year on the third Tuesday of the months of January, March, May, September and November. It has become a tradition that the January meeting is a “Show and Tell” at which there is never a shortage of interesting items and stories. Our May meeting usually features a heritage-themed trip. Other meetings feature a guest speaker and start promptly at 7.30 pm. The society meets at several locations throughout southern Mississauga. Visitors are welcome.

NEW TORONTO HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The aim of the New Toronto Historical Society is to preserve and promote the history of the Town of New Toronto. TRAFALGAR TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The society, established in January 2006, was founded on the work of the Trafalgar 200 Committee that held a celebration for the 200th anniversary of the Township. The history of the older, agricultural communities of North Oakville that were settled as early as 1806 are not presently well documented or celebrated. All of the community now known as Oakville was once Trafalgar Township. Trafalgar Township ceased to exist with its amalgamation with Oakville in 1962. The Trafalgar Township Historical Society focuses on the area bounded by Dundas, Lower Baseline, Burloak Drive and Winston Churchill.
The four main goals of the Historical Society are to: Educate the community about our rich history and establish a schoolhouse museum; Document with photos and oral accounts, the history of the Township to establish an archives; Preserve historical buildings and landmarks; Celebrate the lives of our early settlers.
