Heritage Mississauga undertakes several research projects each year, thanks in large part to the assistance of our summer students and internship students. In addition, we have a large array of resources available for consultation on local history, and can also help to guide research inquiries.
Some of the research projects that we have undertaken, all with a focus on historic Mississauga, include: War of 1812, Rebellion of 1837, Fenian Raids, Northwest Rebellions, First World War, Early Black Settlement History, First Nations Treaties, Confederation, Women’s Suffrage Movement, Stories of Crime and Punishment, and many, many more.
We are always available to assist with guidance, resources, or to answer inquiries on the fascinating history of Mississauga!
