CLARKSON BIA
Clarkson Village is the oldest community in the City of Mississauga. Clarkson is home to numerous fine dining establishments and unique stores. The Clarkson Village BIA Board of Directors consists of a team of like-minded business people and property owners from within the Village who volunteer their time for the following mandates:

  • To oversee the beautification & maintenance of the Village
  • To promote the community as a shopping district
  • To promote and assist merchants as the needs arise
  • To advise merchants of proposals that may affect their business and operations through regular communications

In accordance to the Municipal Act and acknowledged by the City of Mississauga By-Law, the Clarkson Village BIA has been established since 1988. The Village boundaries are located between east of Southdown Rd through west of Meadow Wood Rd on the Lakeshore in the City of Mississauga. Setting up and establishing a business in this location results in automatic membership to the Clarkson Village BIA. There are currently 145 established businesses within the membership of the Village.

PORT CREDIT BIA
The Port Credit BIA is a people-driven and people-powered organization which was formed in 1977 by a group of business owners with a vision that many say has come to fruition. Port Credit today is a vibrant waterfront community, brimming with history, culture and personality. With its small town charm and big city amenities, Port Credit is often referred to as the Jewel in the Crown of Mississauga.

Our business community is very diverse and boasts over 400 unique businesses. We have terrific shops of all kinds from clothing, books, music and giftware to health foods and home decor. Fast becoming the City’s Entertainment District, our many restaurants, cafes and patios offer food and drinks from all over the globe, and live music 7 days a week. The Port Credit BIA has a full range of well established professional services that include legal, medical, financial, travel, internet and a growing variety of health and well being centre’s.

Without the many volunteers who attend meetings, organize special events, make phone calls, and whatever else we require of them, the Association would not be as successful as we are in implementing the many programs that promote Port Credit as a vibrant, exciting place to live, work, and play.

The Port Credit Business Improvement Association is managed by a Board of Directors and committees comprised of local business owners and our area Councillor for the City of Mississauga. The ultimate goal of the BIA is to provide an environment that supports the role of the area as a place for shopping, dining, entertainment and financial and professional services.

The Streetsville BIA’s mission is to maintain and promote a vibrant business community within the historic Village of Streetsville dedicated to serving the needs of local businesses and residents.

The Streetsville BIA falls under the direction of a volunteer Board of Management who meets monthly to deal with a full range of agenda items that impact Streetsville. Standing Committees meet on a regular basis and Ad Hoc Committees are struck as required.
